Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.Ability to maintain focus while working individually.Strong organizational and follow up skills.Ability to use common tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills and wrenches.Ability to take apart machines, equipment, or devices to remove and replace defective parts.Skilled in the use of hand and power tools.Mechanical aptitude and knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.Maintenance of irrigation systems around facilities.Repairing machines, equipment, or structures as necessary.Responsible for electrical, plumbing and minor carpentry repairs.Operates small machinery and power tools.Responds to resident’s maintenance requests in a timely manner, this will include communicating maintenance repairs and status with supervisor and office staff.Oversees contractor when professional repairs are necessary.Conducts routine inspections of premises and equipment.This position is permanent part-time status, works no more than 29 hours per week. The Laborer responsibilities include painting, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, landscaping and pool or spa maintenance for resort and its facilities. This position works under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor and the Resort Superintendent.
